U19 World Cup -E + R = O

The pre-match analysis of a ICC World Cup finals has a tradition. The tradition is to dissect the road to the finals, law of averages(LOA) check from the current tourney and LOA from previous tournaments. The outcome (O) would then derive a team with advantage and define the buzz for the finals.

The U19 World Cup Final pre-match analysis didn’t give any of such pointers. England and India won all matches leading to Finals. No criteria to compute LOA from the current tourney. The same team didn’t play any big tourneys before to derive other LOA factors. I call this as “Pure” state with no speculation. Purely locking horns in the purest form.

Eventually, Team India was crowned as Champions. The latest trend is, the upcoming cricketers focus on all around abilities rather than focussing just on bowling or batting. Dinesh Bana, the wicket keeper is a bowler as well. Bawa is an all rounder as well. Name the new born starting with “Ba” and limit to four letters for a best cricket career in India. 😀

A famous UK author(worked for Manchester City team) derived a formula E + R = O. Remember I labelled a O in my first para. The formula is Events + Reaction = Outcome. Some think Event = Outcome. For e.g participating in finals cannot get positive outcome. The way in which a team react will derive the positive results.

Team India, especially Rasheed reacted(R) well in Semi and Final to deserve Outcome(O) the crowning glory of Cricket. I was listening to the first 17 overs of Team India innings which was purely a feel of test cricket. In the hindsight, the innings equivalent to Test Cricket took India home and the best reaction to the situation.

England team had a fantastic tournament and fought well in the finals. Probably the close encounter against Afghanistan in Semi did shake up a bit going to finals.

Congrats U19 Team India!
